Skiing at Harrachov

Information

This friendly ski village is situated on the westside of the Giant Mountains, 3 km from the Polish border. We offer a wide range of hotels, guesthouses, apartments and holiday homes in Harrachov. The town has recently become an internationally known sport centre thanks to the ski jump competitions.

Furthermore, Harrachov has two chair lifts. The four person chairlift up the Certova Hora (1022 m) guarantees a transport capacity of 1800 persons per hour. There are 8 ski lifts and well-prepared slopes. Skiers can make use of black(1), red(2) and blue(2) ski slopes. Harrachov has a good infrastructure and offers a wide range of high quality touristic services. Skibusses drive regularly to and from the ski slopes.

You can even ski in the evening on an illuminated slope in the centre. The two ski areas Harrachov and Rokytnice nad Jizerou are connected with each other by means of a cross-country ski run thanks to which you can easily ski in both ski resorts. In Harrachov, as one of few ski resorts, snowboarders can make use of all the ski runs. For cross-country skiing enthusiasts there are a lot of well-maintained tracks (110 km). They'll find a wide variety of terrains with different levels of difficulty.

You can go out till late at night. There's a nice cocktail bar and some nice disco's with lasershows in the center. At the foot of the chair lift there's a friendly apres-ski bar, where you can evaluate the day's skiing events. Harrachov is full of life! It's surrounded by many forests and has many shops, a bowling center, weincellars, a tennis hall, hotel swimming pools, fitness, a cinema, solarium and a glass museum. There are snow canons.
